CLM-month-of-giving-2017

As many of you know, Charlotte’s entrance into the world was anything but ordinary. She was born ahead of schedule while we were out of town, 45 minutes south of Wilmington. We were not at all prepared to welcome her into the world four hours away from home.

Thankfully, we were very lucky to have had access to the services provided by the SECU Family House, as well as great care at the New Hanover Regional Medical Center's Neonatal Intensive Care. Along with the support of friends and family, the two organizations helped make what was a very scary time in our life less so.

You can read about our journey here.

Charlotte is turning two on May 3rd of this year and, instead of gifts, she asks to help give back to the Family House and the NICU where her journey began.

Here are a few ways that you can help:

  • Make a purchase from an Amazon wishlist for the SECU Hospitality House, the items will ship directly to the Hospitality House.
  • We would love to buy lunch/dinner for both the Family House and the families who currently have children in the NICU. If you know someone who owns a restaurant in Wilmington, NC that makes deliveries, we’d love an introduction and help a local business.
  • Cash or grocery store gift cards. We are planning a trip to Wilmington later this year to bring supplies from the most needed items list and cook dinner for the families staying at the Family House. The money will go directly to purchasing supplies. (PayPal e-mail address: kseniya51899 (at) yahoo (dot) com.)

We appreciate your support and are excited to continue the tradition of giving back for Charlotte's birthdays.

P.S. Last year, with your help, we raised almost $300 that we spent at Costco to purchase household items, healthy snacks, and other necessities. Here are a few photos from our visit:
